About This Tool

Provides a fast in-browser spreadsheet grid for inspecting and editing CSV or TSV files without opening desktop spreadsheet software that might mangle leading zeros or dates.

Uses paginated window rendering so large datasets remain responsive while you sort columns, filter rows, edit cells inline, and export back to CSV, TSV, or JSON.

Key Features

  • Editable table grid: Click any header or data cell to edit values directly, add or delete rows, and append or remove columns.
  • Column sorting & search filter: Sort any column ascending or descending with numeric-aware comparison, and filter rows in real time.
  • Paginated windowing: Renders 50 rows per page (configurable) so multi-thousand-row CSVs stay snappy.
  • CSV, TSV & JSON export: Copy or download your edited table as RFC 4180 CSV, tab-separated TSV, or a JSON array of objects.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this CSV editor alter leading zeros or auto-convert dates like Excel?
No. Every cell is stored and edited as an exact string, so ZIP codes like 02138, SKU strings, and ISO timestamps remain untouched.
How does the editor handle large CSV files?
All rows stay in memory while the DOM only renders the current page window (25, 50, or 100 rows at a time), preventing browser layout lag on large files.
Can I load a tab-separated (.tsv) file?
Yes. Leave Delimiter on Auto-detect or choose Tab (\t) before clicking Load into Grid.
Is my spreadsheet uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser tab.
