Hash Generator & Decrypter

Encrypt (generate) and Decrypt (crack/lookup) MD5, SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512 cryptographic hashes client-side. Zero server requests.

Private by architecture: All processing is 100% client-side memory. Your data never leaves this browser tab.

About This Tool

Two modes in one tool: Encrypt/Generate computes an MD5, SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, or HMAC digest of your input instantly; Decrypt/Lookup takes a hash and recovers its plaintext via a 100K common-password dictionary and configurable brute-force combinations.

Decrypt here means guessing rather than reversing: cryptographic hashing is one-way by design, so Decrypt/Lookup succeeds when the original plaintext is short or common enough to fall inside the dictionary or the selected character-set search space.

Key Features

  • 6 Algorithms & 3 Encodings: MD5 through SHA-512, output as lowercase hex, uppercase hex, or Base64.
  • HMAC Authentication Mode: Cryptographically signs input with a secret key instead of plain hashing.
  • Auto-Detect Algorithm: Identifies MD5 through SHA-512 by hex length when decrypting, or pick one manually.
  • 100K Password Dictionary: Fast dictionary check runs first before falling back to combinatorial brute-force.
  • Configurable Brute-Force Charset: Select lowercase, uppercase, numbers, special characters, whitespace, and max length 1-12.
  • Live Crack Metrics: Evaluated hashes, hash rate, elapsed time, and current candidate string update in real time with an instant Stop control.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which algorithms and output encodings are supported?
MD5, SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512, each outputable as hex (lowercase), hex (UPPERCASE), or Base64. HMAC mode signs the input with a secret key instead of hashing it plain.
How does Decrypt / Lookup actually recover a plaintext?
It first checks the hash against a 100K common-password dictionary if that option is enabled, then falls back to combinatorial brute-forcing using whichever character sets (lowercase, uppercase, numbers, special, whitespace) and max length (1-12) you select. Longer lengths and more character sets take significantly more time.
Do I need to pick the algorithm before decrypting?
No, "Auto-detect from hash" identifies MD5, SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, or SHA-512 from the hash hex length (32, 40, 56, 64, 96, or 128 characters). You can still select one manually if detection fails.
Can I generate every algorithm hash at once?
Yes, "Generate all hashes at once" in Encrypt mode lists MD5 through SHA-512 for the same input in a table, each with its own Copy button.
Does hashing or cracking ever touch a server?
No. Hashing, HMAC signing, dictionary lookup, and brute-force cracking all run in your browser; the tool makes zero server requests.
