About This Tool

Converts any text, URL, WiFi credentials, vCard, or custom string into a high-resolution, scannable QR code. Redrawn live to a high-density canvas using the fast qrcode library, completely in-browser without sending payload data to third-party APIs.

Error correction level controls damage tolerance versus barcode complexity. Higher levels survive physical smudges, tears, or camera obstruction while keeping scanning reliability high.

Key Features

  • Live Real-Time Rendering: Instant debounced redrawing provides rapid visual feedback as you type.
  • Four Standard Error Levels: L, M, Q, and H options for balancing code density with scan durability.
  • Resolution Range: Export pixel-perfect PNG or scalable vector SVG from 128px up to 512px.
  • One-Click Formats: Instant templates for WiFi login, vCard contact cards, email mailto links, and SMS.
  • Zero Server Telemetry: Private credentials and URLs are never sent over the wire.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between error correction levels?
They control how much of the code can be damaged or obscured and still scan: L recovers ~7% of data, M ~15%, Q ~25%, H ~30%. Higher levels produce a denser pattern for the same content.
Is there a maximum length for the input text?
QR codes can hold up to about 4,296 alphanumeric characters at the lowest error correction level. Very long input combined with a high error correction level may fail to encode: shorten the text or lower the level if that happens.
Will low-contrast colors still scan?
Scanners rely on contrast between foreground and background. Similar colors (for example, light gray on white) may fail to scan even though the code renders fine visually. Keep strong contrast for reliable scanning.
Can I use this for WiFi, vCard, or other special QR formats?
Yes, as long as you use the correctly formatted string (for example: WIFI:T:WPA;S:myssid;P:mypass;;). Click any of the template buttons above the input to populate these formatted schemas automatically.
Is anything uploaded to a server?
No. The QR code is generated and rendered entirely in your browser via the qrcode library. Nothing you type is transmitted anywhere.
