About This Tool

Splits input text into words first: on whitespace, hyphens, underscores, and on camelCase/PascalCase boundaries, including acronyms (myHTTPServer splits into my, HTTP, Server, not my, h, t, t, p, server), then rejoins those words using the target case rules. Conversion runs live as you type.

It is optimized for code identifiers, variable names, filenames, and config keys.

Key Features

  • 8 target cases: camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE, Title Case, Sentence case, dot.case.
  • Acronym-aware word splitting: convertToJSON cleanly splits into convert / To / JSON instead of single letters.
  • Mixed-separator input: Handles spaces, hyphens, and underscores in the same string, plus camelCase boundaries.
  • Live conversion: Output updates immediately on every keystroke and target-case change.
  • One-click copy: Copies the converted output directly to clipboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it split acronyms like "HTTP" or "JSON" correctly?
Word splitting treats a run of uppercase letters immediately followed by a new Capitalized word as its own acronym word: so myHTTPServer becomes my / HTTP / Server instead of splitting every capital letter individually.
What separators does it recognize in the input?
Whitespace, hyphens (-), underscores (_), and camelCase/PascalCase capital-letter boundaries: all in the same input, mixed freely.
Does converting to CONSTANT_CASE preserve an acronym original casing?
No: every target case first lowercases all words, then re-applies the target own casing rule, so JSON becomes JSON in CONSTANT_CASE (already uppercase) but Json in camelCase/PascalCase, consistent with standard casing libraries.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. All tokenizing and case conversion run locally in your browser.
