About This Tool

Schema Markup Validator is a client-side structural linter for Schema.org structured data. Paste raw JSON-LD or full HTML source code containing <script type="application/ld+json"> blocks to verify required properties and nesting.

Validates common types including Article, Product, FAQPage, Organization, Person, BreadcrumbList, WebApplication, LocalBusiness, and Event.

Key Features

  • HTML & JSON-LD Extraction: Extracts embedded <script type="application/ld+json"> snippets directly from full HTML pages or validates standalone JSON-LD.
  • Multi-Entity Graph Support: Parses @graph collections and nested child entities like ItemList and ListItem hierarchies.
  • Clear Severity Categorization: Distinguishes between specification-breaking errors and recommended property warnings.
  • Private & In-Memory: Your staging pages, unreleased product catalogs, and unpublished articles remain strictly in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same as Google Rich Results Test?
No. This is a local structural Schema.org vocabulary linter. Google's proprietary crawler applies additional search-specific eligibility rules and Googlebot rendering which this local tool does not simulate.
Can I paste an entire web page HTML source?
Yes. The tool scans for all <script type="application/ld+json"> elements in the HTML and validates each JSON-LD block found.
Why does it warn about missing recommended properties?
While recommended properties (like dateModified or image) are not strictly required for valid JSON-LD, search engines recommend them to generate complete rich snippets.
