About This Tool

The SVG to Image converter turns vector graphics and icons into crisp raster images at any resolution directly in your browser.

By rendering vectors on an HTML5 Canvas, you can scale SVG graphics to high-DPI 2x and 4x resolutions without blur or pixelation. Everything runs offline on your machine with zero server communication.

Key Features

  • High-res scaling up to 4x: Export vectors at 1x, 2x (Retina), or 4x (Ultra HD) resolution without losing sharp lines.
  • Paste code or upload file: Drag and drop .svg files or paste raw XML markup directly into the editor.
  • Transparent or colored background: Keep alpha transparency intact for PNG/WebP or fill with custom background colors.
  • External reference security audit: Detects and flags external HTTP assets that could taint Canvas or break offline exports.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my SVG files uploaded to a server?
No. The vector is parsed and rasterized entirely inside your browser tab using the native Image and Canvas APIs.
Why does 4x export produce a sharper image than taking a screenshot?
Taking a screenshot captures screen pixels. The 4x scale re-renders the underlying vector math at quadruple resolution before rasterizing to canvas.
What happens if my SVG does not have width or height set?
The tool inspects the SVG viewBox attribute and automatically calculates proportional pixel dimensions.
Can I convert to JPEG with transparency?
The JPEG standard does not support alpha transparency. If you choose JPEG, transparent areas will automatically receive the selected background color (white by default).
