How does the background remover work without uploading to a server?

The tool uses client-side HTML5 Canvas pixel manipulation. It analyzes the RGB values of perimeter boundary pixels, calculates Euclidean color distances, applies flood-fill pathing, and computes smooth edge feathering directly in your browser memory.

What is the difference between Perimeter Flood-Fill and Global Color Range?

Perimeter Flood-Fill starts at the image borders and only clears contiguous background pixels. If your subject is wearing a white shirt against a white backdrop, flood-fill leaves the shirt intact. Global Color Range replaces all matching pixels anywhere in the image.

Can I use this for official passport or visa photos?

Yes. Preset buttons provide standard Passport Red (#dc2626) and Passport Blue (#2563eb), as well as neutral Studio White (#ffffff) and Gray (#64748b) for CVs, LinkedIn, and identity cards.

Are my images stored, logged, or trained on by AI?
